Babysitter Worthy Events - March 2017

As you know, Macaroni Kid focuses primarily on events and activities for kids and families. But a date night with my hubby, a Girls' Night Out with my besties or just heading out to a local activity makes me a better mom!

Being a parent is rewarding and fulfilling and having a little time for yourself is important too! Regular date nights can strengthen relationships, increase communication and allow you to de-stress. And ultimately, happy parents make happy kids!

Even if dinner and a movie is your favorite standard go-to date night out, here are a few events as suggestions that are also considered "babysitter worthy".  Enjoy!

Thursday, March 16: "History of Boy Scouting in New Prague" - 7:00 PM at New Prague Memorial Library, 400 Main St, New Prague. Nathan Millette, a senior at New Prague High School will present the "History of Boy Scouting in New Prague." An update of current historical society projects and future events will be presented. Free event. The public is welcome.

Wednesday, March 22: "Luther and the Reformation" - 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 North Berens Rd NW, Prior Lake. In this one-hour special - filmed on location in Europe - Rick Stevens tells the story of Martin Luther and explores the complicated political world of 16th-century Europe. It's a story of poer, rebellion and faith that you'll never forget.

Wednesday, March 29: "Dangers of Social Media for Kids" - 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at New Prague High School, 221 - 12th St NE, New Prague. Join Scott County Attorney, Scott County Sheriff and the FBI for a conversation about how parents can be involved and educated in their children’s use of technology and social media.
