We arrived a littler early and were able to grab a snack at Grumpy Steve's coffe shop right next door. Once we were inside of the Wabasha Street Caves, we happened to be greeted by John Dillinger. How cool is that?
John Dillinger gave us the tour of the caves and it's history. What an amazing place! The temperature remains at 55 degrees year round inside the caves and the caves were the place to be during Prohibition!
John Dillinger was very interactive with all the participants of the tour. Everyone really enjoyed the Historic Cave Tour.
They also offer a Saint Paul Gangster Tour which we took right after the Historic Cave Tour. This tour is only offered on Saturdays, reservations are required and it is well worth the investment.
A luxury coach bus picked up our tour group and we made our way around Saint Paul viewing the notorious infamous gangster haunts, mystery and mayhem. This is a great date activity and fun for the family to learn about the history of Saint Paul.
