Shakopee and surrounding areas are lucky to have so many great parks and playgrounds for kids. Here’s a list of 5 parks and playgrounds to try this Summer:



HUBER PARK 

150 Fillmore St. N.

Shakopee, MN 55379

Located along the Minnesota River in downtown Shakopee, Huber Park has access to local trails. The park is located along the Minnesota Valley Trail with access from Chaska to Bloomington. The unique, large playground at Huber Park is a favorite for kids to climb, slide and swing. 



LIONS PARK

1103 Adams St. S.

Shakopee, MN 55379

Lions Park has a splash pad, basketball court, playground, tennis and pickleball courts, hockey rink and pleasure skating area. There is also an 18-hole Disc Golf Course, an inclusive Fun For All Playground with sensory activities for all ages and an outdoor aquatic park.



GRASSMAN PARK

1132 Stonebridge Path

Jordan, MN 55352

This one of a kind ninja warrior course has options for both ages 5-12 and 12-beyond. Come fully energized and try out your ninja skills. There is also a walking path, outdoor fitness equipment, a mixed use playing field, ball field, and plenty of open space.



LAGOON PARK

300 Park Dr. 

Jordan, MN 55352

Lagoon Park is centrally located in the City of Jordan. There are a lot of recreational amenities including four horseshoe pits, three shelters with numerous picnic tables, grills, a gazebo, playground equipment, two sand volleyball courts, Mill Pond which offers a swimming beach, fishing dock, and ice skating. This park even has a splash pad. This beautiful park also offers views of Sand Creek, trails, benches, plumbed restrooms, off-street paved parking lots, water fountains, and open green space. 

Splash Pad Hours: 9am – 8pm (subject to change depending on weather, not open when outside temp is 65 degrees or less)



SAVAGE COMMUNITY PARK

13500 Dakota Ave.S.

Savage, MN 55378

This park includes baseball and softball fields, tennis courts, trails, a nature area, fishing pier, a soccer field, basketball court, playground equipment, and the city's skateboard park. The McColl Pond Environmental Learning and Event Center and the Sports Center are both near by.
