Minnetonka Center for the Arts Summer Arts Camp!

Turn Off Screens and Turn On Creativity with Unique Classes for Kids and Teens

May 17, 2024

Dubbed the most robust summer arts program in the Twin Cities, the summer camp program at

Minnetonka Center for the Arts features more than 100 different camps for ages 5 to 15, with

openings for interested campers! Your children will have the opportunity to dabble or dive into

a variety of art types and even come home with their own one-of-a-kind creations in age-

appropriate art forms including: painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, mosaic art,

collage and so much more!

All classes are three hours with half and full-day options and are taught by instructors who are

working artists with quality teaching experience. Age appropriate learning is created according

to the Lowenfeld stages of artistic development with extra consideration for the youngest

artists so single project classes optimize focus and success. Skills advance as more sophisticated

techniques are introduced each year. Campers will enjoy professional studio spaces and quality

art materials and tools. Summer camp runs from June 10th through August 23rd . There are even

special sampler classes for 7-12 year-olds for the week of the 4th of July! Go here for additional

details and to register for all Summer Arts Camp classes.

Since its inception more than 70 years ago, Minnetonka Center for the Arts has been dedicated

to making visual arts available and accessible to people of all ages, interests and abilities. Art

not only transforms materials – wet clay and paint, blank paper and dusty stone, molten bronze

and rusty metal – it also transforms lives. As a nonprofit community art center, Minnetonka

Center for the Arts advances its visual arts mission on three fronts: classes, exhibits and

outreach. To learn more, go to: https://minnetonkaarts.org
