Sever’s Fall Festival

Get Lost In All the Family Fun At This Iconic Minnesotan Experience in Its 28 th Year!

September 18, 2024

As the first corn maze in the Midwest in 1997, Sever Peterson and his family recall the event was inspired by hedge mazes in Europe. Since then, Sever’s Fall Festival has expanded to include countless activities that an entire family could spend days enjoying. The 2024 season marks the 28th year that Sever's has been open. It’s interesting to note that the first year of the corn maze drew about 5,000 attendees with the only other “attraction” being a table where the family sold cookies.

Today, Sever’s Fall Festival draws about 100,000 people. It hosts an ever-expanding list of attractions including corn pits, jumping pillows, petting zoos, playgrounds, live shows, zip lines, pumpkin patches, axe throwing, putt-putt golf, food vendors, beer, wine and more. PLUS, new this year are themed weekends designed to add even more activities and (furry) fun to your visit! Guests can bring their dogs on September 21 and 22 and also visit with adoptables and volunteers from Ruff Start Rescue on Saturday the 21st . Chalkfest weekend is September 28 and 29 with artists showcasing their talent for all festivalgoers.

Sever’s Fall Festival opens Saturday, September 14th and runs Saturdays and Sundays through October 27th from 10am to 7pm. It is also the PERFECT place to take the kids over MEA, on Thursday and Friday, October 17th and 18th .
